On Saturday afternoon, February 8, teens from across the New York area came together for the first No'ar Hadash NY Regional Program.  With 27 teens from six congregations (Beth Hatikvah, B'nai Keshet, Mishkan Ha'am, Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Emeth, SAJ, and West End Synagogue) and adult support from the congregational, regional, and national levels - the event was a huge success!  Participants served dinner and met the clients at Peter's Place, New York City's only 24-hour multi-service facility for the city's homeless elderly; they discussed their views on what Judaism says about giving to those in need; they had havdalah and learned about the programs of the JRF Youth Programming Network; they had fun eating dinner at a restaurant in Chelsea; and they took part in creating a strong and vibrant youth program in the New York area.
